Model/Costume/Makeup: Feisty Cuffs
Photo: George Wong Photography
Series: DC Comics / Zatanna
A home studio shoot with Feisty Cuffs in her Zatanna costume. It was shot at home because i could only book her in the evening and this wasn't a weather appropriate costume.
I got to experiment with a new boom arm and a generic 55cm beauty dish. Now that I understand how to use a beauty dish I'll likely be using it more. The beauty dish however doesn't attach to the strobe head flush, which kind of worries me as it seems to dip and bend the bayonet attachment from the sheer weight. I will need to talk to the supplier about getting a stronger bayonet or modifying the existing attachment.
The smoke machine was a fun addition to my kit. Smoke machine operated manually in between scenes. I will probably replace those flashes in the future with studio lights too.
I also like the selective colour post processing.
Key light: Elinchrom RX4 in 55cm Beauty Dish + Grid on the axis.
Fill light: Elinchrom RX4 in softbox.
Rim lights: 2x YN560II camera left/right with various gels.
Secondary fill: Silver reflector typically below subject's face or on the ground.
