We had dinner with Eldwin, Pamela and Johnny tonight in Tsim Sha Tsui. This is partially thanks for helping my brother out so much with the wedding.
Mira Hotel, Tsim Sha Tsui
A high class hotel room suitable for newly weds.
Andy helped us with our luggage by driving us from Sha Tin to the Mira Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The wedding venue was in the adjacent building at The One. So this hotel was very convenient and close to the wedding reception. The only risk was the potential for a riot on the street given the current geopolitical environment.
Mum spent a lot of time steaming one of Kim's wedding dresses. It was heavily creased and she wanted to straighten it.
We prepared the room for the tea ceremony the next day and the pre-wedding Chinese ritual that my brother had to undergo.
The traditions being observed here I have little understanding of.
Mum and Dad headed home whilst I slept at the hotel. I took the sofa whilst my brother prepared his wedding vows in the bedroom. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
