Japanese Light Novels

Since mid last year I've been going through a number of Japanese Light Novels. The titles I'm reading/listening to right now are:

  • Arifureta From Commonplace To Worlds Strongest
  • Death March To The Parallel World Rhapsody
  • In Another World With My Smartphone
  • Paying To Win In A VRMMO
  • So I'm A Spider So What (Kumo Desu Ga Nani Ka)
  • The Death Mage Who Doesn't Want A Fourth Time

There is one common theme to these novels. They are fantasy novels with supernatural beginnings - notably reincarnation or living a life in a different world.

My favorite one is probably Arifureta, but the Death Mage comes in a close second.

You can pick up the ebooks from Yen Press, J-Novel Club or Amazon Books.

I really love using my phone as an e-reader. I can load my ebooks into the Pocket Reader app on the Android Play Store, select a voice pack, and then have the phone dictate the novel back to me whilst I do my commute to work. Sometimes when I get really into it I'll listen to it whilst I do my work.
