I rocked up to EB Expo on Saturday morning hoping to catch some cosplayers before they went inside. There just wasn't a lot of stuff happening outside. The queues were rather short and there was plenty of parking out front. I decided to buy a ticket and venture inside. $40 for a 6 hour session is kind of expensive for basically tech demos of games that would be out in the next quarter. Plus i'm going to PAX... so it was kind of doubling up!
I only took a few candid shots. I spent most of the time following other people and talking with exhibitors. I didn't even play any games this year at a video games convention! There weren't that many games that interested me and I didn't feel like queuing up a few hours to see a tech demo.
In terms of cosplay there wasn't a lot. It wasn't a cosplay convention but some exhibitors did bring along their own to add to their booths. With the multi-sessions I didn't expect to see many local cosplayers either, except those I knew were working with exhibitors, or as employees/contractors for EB Expo. I photographed where I could - so you may want to look at my gallery here.
I had trouble lighting most of the vehicles. Needed a tripod and frankly larger modifiers. I did what i could with the dim lights on site and two speedlites as fill.
