I had the opportunity to assist Ecky at his Star Wars themed photo shoot in Prospect. It turned out to be a pretty fun morning with Gen, Dan, Evey, Jake and Achiles.
Whilst Ecky took his time with Achiles, i grabbed a few shots with Evey Dantes. Turns out Evey probably knows more about how to model than I do - which made things go a lot faster.
Settings: 2x 1/4 power bare strobes with amber LEE colour gels (failed) and Magenta gels (shown) at 1/160s f8 ISO 200. The key light failed to fire but the highlight did, illuminating the scene with Evey's figure. It looks kind of cool. I added the blue in post processing and dropped the shadows to create a darker image.

Settings: 2x 1/4 power bare strobes with amber LEE colour gels (front left) and Magenta gels (back right) at 1/160s f8 ISO 200. The key light gives subject a nice warm skin tone, the back light is meant to create contrast. I don't like the arm's shadow but I can't be picky given that I only had 15 minutes to get a series of photographs before swapping with Ecky :). This was just a bit of fun!
Settings: 2x 1/4 power bare strobes with amber LEE colour gels (front left) and sky blue gels (back right) at 1/160s f8 ISO 200. The key light gives subject a nice warm skin tone, I pointed the back light at the wall behind the model, and gave it a blue gel. I wanted the wall to bounce most of the light back to the subject, and make Evey pop out from the background. I am happy with this result.
Post processing: The last thing i expected out of my workflow was having to clone stamp a penis out of the background! I didn't even notice it at the time of the shoot! I threw together a quick, green blob and blended it in with the rest of the background.
When the shoot was over, we drove back to civilisation for bacon: because what kind of photoshoot is it without bacon?
