Anime at Abbotsford

A nice hang-out den for cosplays, photographers and collectors. Made some new friends and caught up with some people I haven't seen in a while.

Jamie as Aiden Pierce, Watch Dog

Settings: 1/160s f9 ISO 200

Lighting: Key light 1/4 power through white brolly, camera right. Fill light bare strobe 1/8 power, camera left.

Post processing: Heavy post processing to darken shadows, enhancing contrast and clarity. I like the BW versons better than the colour copies.

Onegai Ryu as a Pirate King, One Piece

Light setups are about 1.5-2m from model whilst I'm further back since I was shooting with the Sigma 85mm f1.4. Overall had a bit of fun whilst practicing with strobes. I want stronger lights, larger diffusers and more power! Looking at upgrading to studio/on-location lights, possibly the Elinchrom D-Lite RX4 or PCB Einstein E640.

Budgeting around $800 for lights, and $400 for a decent battery. Should have a decent set of studio lights with this budget.
